Down the Fashion Food Chain

So, Kate Moss has launched her Summer 2009 line for Topshop, and she’s not the only one practising some sort of backward vertical integration. Forbes recently ran an article on Models Taking Business into Their Own Hands, just like Kate Moss and Elle Macpherson.

“As the fashion business has changed, and fashion has become geared toward celebrities, many models have decided to take matters into their own hands,” says veteran model Erin Wasson.

We were just talking about post-modern furniture today (“Am I a tablecloth? Am I a table?”), and here we have models questioning their roles in the fashion chain.
