I have nothing on postmodernism and fashion to share here (ref to PB for stuff like that). However, js. and I have had an extremely good time traipsing around Singapore! Yesterday we looked at nice, black/white/grey pieces of cloth from the very awesome Complex Geometries at ActuallyActually — which, if you haven’t figured, is the sister store to Actually at Seah Street. ActuallyActually, actually, also has a rather spectacular shoe collection, which includes stuff from Korean label Suecomma Bonnie:
I also grabbed a new Proklamasi top from Blackmarket just before we rushed off for dinner. Proklamasi has an entire collection of white tops in various designs — the one I picked up resembles, oddly enough, part of my secondary school uniform. I like that it has an inner lining, which makes it a lot more comfortable than what I used to wear to school every day, though.
This afternoon js. and I found ourselves hunting for (very good) scraps at the Fred Perry Pop-Up Sale Store at Ann Siang. I’ll probably leave js. to talk about his purchases (if he’d like to), but suffice to say it’s really amazing what you can find (and at what prices too!) when you bother to look through stuff at a sale. We also grabbed a couple of very good things at good ol’ MUJI, which seems to have made downward adjustments to its prices (at least for a couple of things).
This takes me to the end of a rare post on our everyday shopping expeditions. I rarely talk about stuff like that but the past two days have been a ridiculous amount of fun!
