Z and I had brunch at Artichoke yesterday in celebration of some things:
1. the weekend;
2. the end of my stint at raffles place; and
3. friendship, youth, and other miscellaneous things that should be celebrated.
I don’t have photos from brunch because I don’t carry a camera about, and the camera on my phone has got to be the most embarrassing one available. That notwithstanding, here’s a nice picture of some roast chicken from the cafe’s site.
The brunch menu was interesting — honey bacon chop (double yum), poached eggs wrapped in serrano ham, etc. I’ve read several reviews of the cafe, but they all seemed to focus on the decor rather than the food — which seems to miss the point.
I found a copy of the menu, so take a look because we’ll be going for brunch again and again and again.
